My first quilt was this 'tube' method but instead of all squares, it was 4" strips ---tubed. Then 3" strips from the tube and separated at a joining and then in the center of the square. You stagger the colors so...you don't have to worry about the corners matching. Still the easiest quilt to do for me.

I really like the idea of not having to match the seams. And really glad you turned that far left strip around before completing the top, for I AM the quilt police. LOL

I really like that look. Where did you find the instructions? I would love an easy project to start.

I saw this one on PBS one morning about 9 years ago. A grandmother was making it with her 10 yr. old grand daughter who was doing the work. I figured if that girl could do it--I could do it. I sat and wrote down what they did step by step. Went to JoAnns and bought enough to make 9 quilts-myself and one for each of our 8 kids. Finished this one and put it away until 3 years ago when I made 6 more from those fabrics all different.

    Christmas 2008-- 4 complete

Love all of them. Would love to know how you did it or what it is called. Can think of several projects to do with it like table runners and pillows since I am a beginner.

How many fabrics did you use?

How many strips of each fabric?
