Turned into a matter of Pride!

Saw the twisted Log Cabin Tut, and was determined to try it. Asked a bunch of questions, and I was off!
I tried to make it bigger, but being an idiot, just kept screwing up. So instead followed the directions verbatum.
I made it a lot harder than it needed to be. I didn't feel good, kept messing, up but figured one of two things was going to happen. I am going to snap this ruler in half or this block IS getting done! LOL
It doesn't look bad. Was going to finish it no matter what.
Got it done, then felt confident to try it on a larger scale.
I like the bigger version much better. A lot easier on me. Not big on piecing, or working with angles. I made these two blocks in a few hours, Okay maybe several hours... Who cares they are finally done!
I think it would be neat to do several in a quilt, but it may end up a WIP for quite a while.
I do have a quesiton. My squares are poofy. They bubble up. Is this from sewing on the bias? And is there anything I can do to prevent it on future success with these blocks?
