Tuxedo Kitten Quilt

I LOVE HIM. He is so adorable. I'm not a cat person, but we tolerate one another nicely anyway. ggl

This is my first trial of the Kitten pattern. I'm giving him to my DGD, but I think I need to make another one for me...or for my kitties who will surely claim it as their own! He's only an 8 hour project, so I think he'll be on my machine again soon!
I made him out of glacier fleece-the really soft stuff and he turned out so nice!
I gotta tell you, this is a pretty fun project! I think this style of baby quilts deserves a place in modern quilting, don't you?
Oh-I might have to put a collar on him with a fish shaped name tag with my DGD's name! Gotta go do that now - bye! I'll add another picture with the addition later!

He is wonderful and I love the addition of the collar and fishy shaped name tag. And I totally agree we need more animal shaped quilts for little ones. When my son was young I bought a whole series of patterns that were based on the same idea. I made all different ones for my neices and nephews, wish I had pictures. Back then we didn't have wonderful soft fabrics like are available now. I hope you sell a ton of your design.
