I am the only person that quilts and sew well my mother do a little My twin great niece always wanted to know how to sew so once a month they come and we make something they have a sewing machine each and we have Brunch and we sew they have to pay dues which is a nickle each time they come...LOL they love it this is the first thing they did (Pillows) and they did a good job. They love going through my small stash but they have fun. I told them next time we will do a Tote but they want to do a skirt.LOL well just a straight line on the side and i will do the elastic well... we will see

Look for some of those fabrics that already have elastic at the top for them to make into a skirt. Some of it is very cute and inexpensive. Our Wal-mart still has fabric and carries it.

Jerrie: I love that you are passing on your love of sewing. Not too many younger people sew. They are adorable and rightly proud of their work.

Cute pillows. They did do a good job. It'[s so nice to share your hobby with the twins and they seem to look forward to it. Treasure those moments. The happy memories will last them a lifetime.

aww, Jerri, you have your own little sewing/quilting club!
I want one of those with my granddaughters.
(btw, your "dues" are way too low, those smiles are worth millions  )
also fun to see the differences in tastes the girls have. Can't wait to see their skirts. :-D

You're starting a wonderful tradition with two lovely girls! They will have stories to tell their children and a craft to pass along to them as well.
