Errrmmmmm Marcia..now I have to confess, I made the back a perfect checkerboard in the same size blocks as the front, now as the border around the top is exactly half the block size you would presume then that if my quilt top was square..(which is was to a fraction of an 1/8th off on one measurement :-) ) that when I layered up my sandwich it would all come up perfect.....well guess again...I just didn't feel confident that it would stay squared by the time I quilted it.. SO I decided to chop off half of the outside blocks on the backing and add an extra wide cream border to allow for fudging..........

YET....it still went abit off, if you look on the backing picture, you can see my wiggly lines on a couple of the rows isn't lined up with the backing ditch... :(

So you see It is a bugger to line up squarely top and bottom no matter how much you try

Izy, I just love your work. They are all so beautiful (still admiring the soft d9p you did awhile back), and this one is no exception.

Just let me know if you are running out of people to send your quilts to. :D :D :D

It's gorgeous, Ms. Izy! I love the flying geese border. Wish I could see the final border better--looks like some kind of swag. Do you get to keep this one for yourself?
