Default Twisted Stripes

I put this little quilt in the show. It was difficult to find the proper striped fabric. If I'd found wider stripes, the quilt would have been bigger. As it turned out, the narrow stripes presented a challenge to match the intersections. Jack [the Ripper] and I became very close in the making of this. I wanted to add more quilting in the center, but every strip was too much and just the seams looked terrible; I tried that and ripped it out. I did not expect or wish for an award for this one. It was serendipitous that, when adding the binding, it met exactly at matching stripes!

That is amazing! I can't imagine all the hours that must have gone into the making of this quilt. What was the reaction of the viewers at the quilt show?

Beautiful work. It looks like an optical illusion to me and I love it.

You have made a very pretty quilt and I would say a hard one to make. You did really, really well. So pretty. I love it!

Very nice, I've done this block in stripes and it isn't easy, especially those stripe matching Y seams.

Thanks. I really didn't hear any comments about this quilt. I was busy working at the 'selling' tables... barely had time to heat lunch LOL
