Thank you for all the positive comments! I only asked about the pattern being outdated because I showed this quilt at my LQS for show & tell, and the response was kind of muted. Maybe it was just that group of ladies. I personally like the pattern. I don't usually make the same pattern multiple times but I have on this one. I thought that the graphic nature of the pattern would be good for a baby quilt, since babies do like that sort of thing. The border came together from the scraps created from cutting the blocks. It may be a while before I make this pattern again, but nice to know it's not passe.

Everything old is new again and your version of the twister is amazing.
Thank you so much for sharing.

This quilt does have a "activity" going on - and the colors/graphics are great - but somewhat subtle - so I think this is one of those pieces that "gets better looking/more interesting" the longer one looks at it.

I'm not sure how a quilt pattern can be outdated since many of the popular patterns have been around for over 100 years. I like your quilt. Nice colors. Good job.

I agree with everyone else about the no out of date quilts, only out of date colorways. This is a wonderful quilt and I like it a lot.

Agree....Twister patterns continue in popularity. I don’t take a poll on what I want to create. Love your quilt.

The borders complement the center - and I like your fabric choices.

The center has movement and the borders stabilize it. Nicely done!

As far as the pattern "being out of date" - I think your version is very modern looking.

My thoughts exactly. When I opened this message yesterday, I thought that this is one of the most lovely "twister" quilts I have seen. You used the colors, pattern and finish techniques beautifully.
