Default Two Different Disappearing Nine Patch

Here are two quilts I worked on this past winter. I quilted them myself (on my small little Janome free motion) on the turquoise & gold I did running hearts. I didn't quilt on any of the patches I wanted them to pop so I only quilted in the gold areas, the trim and the borders. For the Christmas one, I quilted using the design of the fabrics as my guide, I used poly fill batting to make the poinsettias and candy canes puffier, in the black snowflake areas I quilted snowflakes and squiggles connecting the snowflakes. Two beauties! I keep thinking I'll make one of these & then something else gets in the way (like life... no fair! LOL!). I love how different these look, just based on your fabric choices... great job!
