    Great idea. I love cross stitch too, but haven't done any for awhile.

    yes I treated it like a regular quilting project, I sandwiched it the normal way with batting and backing. The batting I used was needle felted so I didn't have to worry so much about bearding in the front, and I only quilted around the cross stitch in the borders for the same reason. The x stitch design I have had forever and it came out of the magazine for the love of cross stitch. This is exactly how it was finished in the magazine so unfortunately I can't take credit for the idea, but I am glad you all liked it!

    That is nice, I can't do all the small hand stitching I have a finger on my right hand that locks up, I can crochet but have to stick with the machine for quilting
