This is the D4P I made for my best friend as a chemo quilt. The back is black with sprays of cherry blossoms in pink and white with gold mountains in the background. My LA was able to get it to me in time for me to get it bound and give it to her on Christmas eve. (My LA is awesome!) My friend put it on her bed and told me she slept peacefully through the night. There could be no better praise.

This is the top I finished today. It will be a wedding gift for a friend who is getting married next month. She said her favorite colors are green, red and black. Since she's young (32) and modern, I thought the Pickle Relish pattern would work for her. The background is black with gray "bubbles" on it. I have a wonderful back that is mixed greens with some black. Hope to have it done in time.

Hope the pics aren't too big, I'm sending this from my Kindle Fire and can't resize them.

Quilts are great for Chemo. I had a friend who really used hers. It brought her good luck.

They are both beautiful....fantastic that your friend got instant comfort from your creation...just what she needs. The contemporary one is stunning.
