These are the two vintage quilts I picked up at a local quilt show yesterday. The prices were really good. I have a quilt from my Grandmother, done by her sister, photo also attached. That was my first vintage quilt. The two I just got expanded my collection! I am so exited!

I like your Grandmothers the most. Are the other two just tops? If so, do you plan to finish them? Inquiring minds......

Yes, the other two are tops. I wasn't going to finish them but comments I received on this site the the Main Section of the site have encouraged me to finish them and use them like the makers intended. So that's what I will do.

Good for you!!! I love old quilts, and I have bought a couple of tops that I will be making into quilts this summer. I am sure the ladies who made them wanted them to be quilts, so, I am just finishing her work. I think it's the right thing to do.

Oh, just to hold the quilts and think of the ladies stitching these by hand at the end of a long day or while the guys were in the field then laying these aside to prepare home cooked meals for the loves of their lives. I can smell the fresh air just thinking about it.
I have 3 quilts laying out tonight. My sister in law came over to tell me the family history of the quilts. I plan to repair and label these, then soak, wash, and freshen them.
