Default Two wall hangings finally quilted

I bought the McKenna Ryan Christmas banner years ago but was never really in love with the finish. The kitted border was way to busy and the background, meant to be nighttime was just too dull. It languished in the pile to be quilted but I just didn't like it. Even though it was sandwiched, I was able to remove the borders and substituted the red swirl. Better.........but it still needed something. I took a chance with the quilting, using a silver metallic and thought it may be a mistake, but once it was done, I was satisfied. Hope you agree.

The second wall hanging was a cast off from someone in our sewing guild. They were no longer in love with the kit and it came complete with everything but the backing. I finished it and it will grace our house instead : )

I like both of those. I really like using kits. Glad you got them both finished. They're lovely.

They both turned out really nice, it's a good example of just one little change in colour can really liven things up.
