I don't even want to figure out how many years ago I started this quilt. It was a kit I bought at the Chicago Quilt show. There are 30 colors in it. DGD fell in love with it the first time she saw it and still loves it. After I finished it, she stood at the end of the bed admiring it, just beaming. She even noticed the quilt thread was varigated in matching colors. When she was little, her nickname was the tie dye kid. Think that explains why she loves it. The company that made this kit (and the material in it) quit making this particular one. I called them a couple of years ago and they cut this kit for me. Knew someday I'd make one for her. I'm starting the second one now for my DGD's college graduation gift next May. Shhh!!! Don't tell her - it's a surprise! I like a lot too so she's getting a duplicate!
