ufo finished in 2014 for QOV

I don't know why but I am having trouble uploading my pictures. I keep trying and sometimes it works so here is another of my 2014 finishes. Pieced and quilted by me with lots of scraps and many gifted to me two summers ago from a quilting friend.

I just love all the variations of log cabin quilts! Yours is another wonderful design. And scrappy is perfect for log cabins too! Makes me want to put everything on hold & go make one.

What a wonderful quilt. The red "hearth" in the middle is perfect to remind him that he was protecting his homeland. Maybe you could tell him about log cabin blocks and what the represent. ???

here is a picture of the scraps a friend gifted me when I asked if she had any "darks" in her scrap pile. I thought she was awesome. And she was happy to as she said to get "rid" of them. I don't think she has ever done scrappy and I love, love to do them!Name: a pile of scraps from Mary L 2013.jpg
