You are so lucky to have a library that has that book! I wouldn't mind brining it home to get that pattern - and start on it now for each of my boys from when they get married lol - they're only 7 & 9 but it might take me that long to get two of them finished - just gorgeous!!

I'll keep my eyes open for a copy of that book - I am sure it will float around from time to time :)

My grandmother said it is a double wedding ring with double star centers. The story behind the block she said is the center star is the bride and the larger star is the groom who promises to protect his bride at all means. The rings are what bind them together. My Grandmother is 83yrs old and said it is a 1930 to 1940 pattern. She said she believes it was first printed in the newspaper.
