Thread: update pictures underwear quilt

    here are a few blocks for the underwear quilt i am making for a graduation surprise gift. not sure what color to put in between the blocks. have about 20 blocks almost done.

    I would never have thought of using underwear! I guess its a good thing dh doesn't wear boxers.....he might find his missing! lol!

    i think i would do one of the blues at the top right hand side, that is cool to use the underwear, i would have never thought of underwear to make a quit, :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

    what a great idea, but where in the world would you find all those underware? And how in the world do you get guys to save their underware for you? and is it old underware or new underware? so many questions, so few underware!!

    Imma go against tide and say that the green really makes the blocks stand out and "pop" Just my opinion :D

    you know i thought of doing this but thought the material was to thin. just shows us all that we will will make a quilt out of anything and make it look good, love it :lol:

    gosh I hope it lasts longer than the way my sons boxers used to wear out. He wore his pants in the cool way.. sagging and always wore two perfectly good holes in the back rear cheeks. I think this has a better shot at a longer life than the kids give them. Cute idea. I saw the title and thought... um superman undies, power rangers.. care bears.. and was waiting to see just what the heck you could do with those.. lol I guess it was a relief to see it was just boxer plaids!

    I am chuckling though thinking about what people think when you ask them to save their underwear for you. " HMMM heard of "panty raids" but not "boxer raids"! Maybe we should recommend therapy"

    Too funny! I have been saving my son's boxers as he grows out of them to make a quilt also! I just love the plaids (many of them are the same!)Anxious to see the finished project!
