Default US Navy T-Shirt Quilt for DH

I've been working on this fella for a little while... Used EQ8 to create the layout.. read several previous threads about stabilizer, cotton vs. poly/cotton, batting, etc... Thank you fellow QBer's for the wonderful shared experience and advice - it really helped with my 1st T-shirt quilt.

This was made from a few of my DH's Navy T-shirts dating back 10-35 years ago.. The two small rows of insignia graphics in the center column represent the chronological order of his duty stations. Decided to use up a bunch more on the back.. My DH loves the entire quilt - and it sure tells his military story well.. There are another 15-20 t-shirts left so I'm guessing there might be another quilt to be made soon!

    Thanks for looking!

Lovely quilt. The "Navy" blue makes the shirts pop. Did you draw out your quilting lines before you quilted or did you use a guide with your walking foot?

I used a frixion pen making one X from corner to corner - then used my walking foot and guide.. Dont look too close it gets a little bit wonky but overall I'm pleased. The extra weight of the knit fabric gave me more to wrestle with through my DSM - but my Juki TL2200qvp mini didn't skip a stitch!
