Default Using 10 inch squares Part 2

I asked yesterday...or maybe the day before??...about making a quilt using only ten inch squares, not cutting them. I got many wonderful answers.

But when I looked at my pieces, it turned out that 9 inches was as big as I could cut the squares. So, I took to playing with that. I had four sports fabrics and several solids. The goal was a quilt for a boy from 12-18 years old at a Boys' Ranch our guild has sort of adopted. I had made one quilt and was looking to use my leftovers, but to still have a quilt a boy might like.

So, here is what I now have. I think it will look good.
(If you look closely at the fabric, there are footballs, baseballs, basketballs, and soccer balls.....my husband said I had to have a lot of balls to make this quilt....funny man...)
