    Smile Vanilla Cake!

I just completed the front/back of this quilt. I'm holding on to it awhile before I take it to be quilted. The pattern name is "Vanilla Cake". The fabrics are Kansas Troubles which I'm so trying to get away from that line, but they keep calling my name.

Lovely colors; I can see how it's hard to "get away" from that line. Is that a version of D9 Patch? And I like how you did the back, too.

Looks wonderful. I am learning about "scrappy backs" from you quilters here on the QB.

I couldn't tell you if it were a version of the D9.....I haven't been back to quilting long enough to know that. Maybe someone else here on the board can help with that.

The center of the block is the 4 patch. If that helps anyone. To get the colors laid out the way I wanted I drew the layout on the computer and used my colored pencils. That helped a lot when I was laying everything out.

The pattern resembles Disappearing 4 Patch. It looks great in your colours and the back is super.
