You could put seed packets in the baskets for the kids. I don't know their ages, of course, so maybe they would need some adult help with planting. I used to put seeds in my kids' Easter baskets. It's a nice reminder that Spring is coming -- eventually. Vegetable seeds would be fun too as they could watch the plants grow and then eat the veggies.

the dollar stores have cute washcloths. they are in a tiny circle, and when you put them in water, they blow up to the washcloth
