Love the quilt. I don't think it's too girly. I'm sure she will like it as it's made from Grandma with LOVE!

It is always amazing how that 10 or 11 year old "Tom Boy" becomes a woman and reveals a light hint of the feminine. Sometimes a gal will pin her identity on her being different, a Tom Boy for instance or a "Goth" or for some of a certain maturing age a "hippie". Later in this galís adolescence or young adult years, she will discover that she has a measure of girly girl hidden in her too. It takes a courageous "Tom Boy" to show her girly side! Besides, this quilt is from Grandma and that makes all the difference in the world. It is beautiful and she will love it now or love it later but will always know you loved her enough to make her a special quilt.

Actually, I made it from Moda's "Happy" fabric!! And I just came back from the party, and yes she did like it.

I don't agree with the too girly bit. Definitely not boy colors; however, simple enough for even tomboy girls. Great job, I am sure she will enjoy it because her granny made it for her.

I am a tomboy, and don't find it too girly, so you will be fine with it!

The pattern isn't girly at all and it's so bright---she'll love it.
