    Default Vintage Bouquet

I was just ready to start this MSQC quilt from my 30s scraps when my best friend from HS lost her husband of 48 yrs. to a massive stroke in his sleep. I have done Prayer Shawls before but it take me forever, so I decided to make her this quilt as a warm hug from all those that love her. She and her DH loved their flowers and would spend time together watching the birds at the feeder while they drank their morning coffee. I ordered a pantograph of flying birds and finished quilting it this weekend. I hope it provides comfort and memories of all the great times they spent together.

What a wonderful quilt to gift to your friend. It will be a comfort to her for a long time to come. This quilt is so pretty that I can see her picking it up for the stars and the birds that will be on the quilting and being refreshed.
