While visiting my FIL, I found this in the guestroom closet. He told me I could have it. My MIL used to quilt and FIL said she used to make her quilts all by hand.

The family is pretty sure this is one of hers. **The importance of labels** Wish we knew for sure :cry:

It is hand pieced 2 inch squares and all hand quilted.
(Hope it will show a little in the pictures.)

I hung it over the couch for Christmas. I think I'll leave it through Valentine's Day and then hang another one I found that is blue.

Am I correct in thinking that it is an Irish Chain?

Yes that is an Irish chain, it is gorg!! You are so lucky to have it no matter who made it, though even more special f it was your MIl.

My Kansas City Star Quilt Pattern book calls it "Irish Chain (Triple)" Published in the Kansas City Star Newspaper 1929

Oh, it's really pretty. You should put a label on it. That way later generations will know important information about it.
