Trust me, cut out paper templates, then wrap your cut triangles over them and slip stitch them together, will be perfect that way!! You will have issues as each side is cut on the bias with a lot of stretch, good luck

Yolanda ~ it is bigger than it looks. I'll measure the triangles in the morning. I think they are 6" equal lateral but I need to double check.

Here is what I would do, sew two sets of three triangles together, and two sets of five triangles. Then put them together using vert. seams. like this....after puting the triangles together sew them to each other along the red lines.

This is how I'm doing my GFG. I just started this week.( It's not like I don't have 6 or 7 WIPS going already.) I cant believe how easy it is to be precise. I also think it will be a great solution for you.

PS Show us pictures when your finished.

I would do it in three rows. 5, 6, 5.

Maybe 3, 5, 5, 3 is easier(?) but I always go with fewer rows. lol

Be sure to post pix! It's cute.

Have fun making them, I would love to see what you make.
Looks very easy to me also.

I wish I would have saw this before I tried :) but that is what I ended up doing ~ thanks so much for the picture! I think I will print it out and hang it up. The pointed side towards me always throws me off, I kept trying to put the flat side towards me.
