What a wonderful job you did restoring the quilt. It is exciting to have something that old and know the history of it.
Your friend is lucky to have you as a friend to finish such a nice treasure.

Eddie: Great job! I bought two old quilt tops that I know nothing about, except that I bought them both for about $5.00 at an auction. I couldn't bear them being just thrown away because no one wanted them. They need some repair, which I will do, but your stipple quilting turned out so well, that I think I'll do the same once I get the repairs done. Thanks for the inspiration! I wish I knew something about their history, but at least I saved them! WLee

Another thing you can do to help stop deterioration is to put fine toule over the top before you quilt it. I have a crazy quilt that was given to me that was made around 1820's and that is what I was told to do, but I haven't done it yet, it's so precious. I'm afraid of ruining it.

This is very pretty, I like the pinks and greens too! You have done a great job with it, it has a surprisingly contemporary feel to it, I think it is the pinks and the binding, you have a good eye!
