Here's the third of seven quilt tops that I'm currently quilting for a customer. The top was pieced decades ago by the customer's grandmother and it measures 62" x 72". Beautiful colors. And as you can see the quilt inspector was checking it out.

Very pretty quilt and nice quilting. It appears to have been well cared for, and the colors are still bright and crisp. I love the vintage quilts.

Eddie, I agree with Amma. If someone told me a year ago that you could machine quilt a vintage top and have it look gorgeous I would have looked at them as if they had 2 heads!!!
I'm an antique/vintage quilt freak and own way too many (none inherited b/c nobody made them in my family) and while they are beautifully hand-quilted I now see the beauty in machine quilting as well, THANKS TO THE BOARD!!!
Wow, I used to be a real snob about it! lol

I love the old quilt tops. To me, this is what quilting is all about. You wonder who was making this and were they making it because they needed something to keep warm. Nothing fancy, just a warm quilt. I love it!!!!
