We were visiting dear friends in East Texas over Memorial Day weekend and look what she had in her house that she is giving me. She and her husband lived in Houston and we worked for the same company and became very good friends, and our friendship has continued even if we live 300 miles apart now. She told me she bought this Singer machine in the mid-70's for $50 and she had never opened it. Her husband did not have a clue that there really was a machine in the cabinet until I opened it. Needless to say, I was extremely excited to see this beautiful vintage Singer sewing machine.

The serial number is GO819042. I checked the Singer website and it states production was beginning in 1935 and it was made in the Clydebank, Scotland factory. How can I find out what Model it is?

I will bring it home on my next visit.

It's a 66 "Red-eye" (because of the - ahem, red eyes on either side of the word Singer)
