To osewme:

Sometimes it is all about finding the right tutorial video on YouTube to watch it being done. That is how I have figured out so many things that I have in my own collection of rulers and such. And nice thing is, the tutorials on YouTube that I found are all free.

Remember my friends, quilting is supposed to be fun, and relaxing. It isn't meant to be perfection, just something we make with love for somebody else or ourselves.

I love your violet block and the quilt will be worth all the time and effort you spend. Violets are so special to me since they represent the friendship of my best friend who passed away from cancer several years ago.

It is gorgeous. You must keep going. We are all waiting with baited breath. Now share the name of the fabric and the quilt pattern!

It's so pretty and well worth the effort. I did the Farmer's Wife 1930's Sampler quiltalong with the ladies here on the board, and there were 99, 6.5" squares. Loads of them had even more pieces than your violets. I made 81 of the 99 blocks, paper pieced, and loved every minute of them!

Hang in there....

Don't know what the background fabric is called. Pattern is field of violets that is picture piecing by Cynthia England. All sewn by machine.
