Doing a tutorial on this would be difficult saf45 and Rainbow. There are so many different walkers out there, each designed differently.
I just measured my Mom's walker (width of crossbar) and decided what length I wanted and went from there.

I make a basic placemat: sandwich together top and bottom fabric (RS together) with batting.
Stitch all around, leaving an opening to turn right side out.
After turning, topstitch all around to close opening.
The pockets are made in a similar way. Cut the fabric twice the height of the finished size you want, fold in half (RS together), stitch around 3 sides leaving an opening for turning.
After turning, attach pocket to bag closing the opening.

Each one I make has a different pocket design. The one pictured is pieced, but some are embroidered. I just play around with it until I get something I like.

Overall, the bags measure 17.5" wide x 26" long, and the pockets are 13" wide x 9" high.

They really are quite easy to make and with snaps on the sides they are quite secure. They make carrying magazines, newspaper, books, glasses, and kleenex very easy. They also are conversation starters as they do dress up a very functional piece of equipment. The staff and residents where my Mom lives are always waiting to see what "new bag" my Mom has.

If any of you make one, please share pictures okay? It would be a kick if I've inspired any of you. :D
