What a great project! Years ago I made a bag to hang on the back of Mom's wheelchair (unfortunately before my quilting days so no picture)....it was mostly for those of us pushing her, but it was nice to have some place to put the little things you just seem to need for a day out, good job! I put a flap at the top that came across & fastened with velcro so if you were in the mall or someplace you could safely have your wallet in it too.

Basically, I make an oversized placemat, apply two pockets so one faces my Mom and the other one faces outward. I also attach snaps. It really is very easy to make.

That is one stylish walker bag! Great job! You should make yourself a matching bag or purse so you can "match" mom when you come to visit!

I'd like to see that on her walker. My dad uses a walker too and it's difficult to carry his 'stuff' when he's roaming the house. Wonder if this great idea is too feminine for a man?
