This is a mixed media quilt. I have designed it, did thread painting, fussy cut the rocks and seaweed, used acrylic paint , and then quilted.

Sadiemae, I used a picture from a fishing magazine to plan the fish. I used almost all Batiks for the fish's body. Everything else is really just fussy cutting and stitching on. I have no patience, that is why I want to get more into art quilts. I tend to cover mistakes with more thread, acrylic paints, permanent ink pens or more fabric. I can't stitch a straight line and I have trouble with quarter inch seams. The quarter inch foot from my daughter has helped that quite a bit. Thanks for your positive comments.

I love it! My dh is interested in doing a project like yours. He will draw, I will do the fabric part. Yours is just beautiful! Mine is still a daydream.
