This is my new WIP. I used pansies left over from my aunt's quilt to do a small wall hanging and free from cut the grass. Nothng is stitched down yet. The grass and pansies are just fused and the border is just sitting next to everything else.

That's beautiful vicki! Looks like the wind is gently blowing the leaves. And I love the colors. I've never seen a pansey in real life, but I would know one after seeing your quilt!

THAT is going to be nice.

You do have a place all picked out to hang it? No?!

    I'll take care of it.

Vickie, are you going to give it to your aunt since she has the quilt?

I hadn't thought of that, but no, this is going to a girlfriend that lives quite a ways from me--just something to show her that I am thinking of her.

Very pretty! I'm not a big applique person (mostly because I don't really know how very well :) ) But I love yours. It's so cheerful looking!

Thanks for the kind words. Its sunny and mild in Raleigh oday--to be cold (40's) and raining tomorrow and Friday--might need my long johns! I think I'd like to make a pillow too--to go with the pansy lap quilt that I gave my aunt last summer. We'll see.

Love the colors you have chosen!

Your house seems so familiar to me. I am originally from Asheville, NC
and visit my aunt that lives in Sylva, NC. Your house reminds me of one
that I pass when visiting her and I have always admired it. I now live in Tx
and so when I see it, it reminds me of home and the many sweet memories of my aunt.

The house in in Yancey County, just about 15 miles from Burnsville on Bald Mountain Rd. The tiny commuity is called Bee Log. I have seen the sign for that town, but cn't say I ever remeber going through it. But I bet your aunt would rember this tiny little community. They have an elementary school with about 50 students and 10 tachers! The older kids are bussed into Burnsville.
