I was very surprised when I opened up the stripey fabric to find that the other half was mostly black. I had to buy twice as much to get enough of the colorful side for the border. I will use the black side for the binding.
I'm sure yours will look great with the wine color. I might have gone that way but couldn't find anything the right color.

That is so beautiful! I love the way the border fabric compliments the center. Wonderful job.

Beautiful! I would outline the flowers then give them some detail with thread painting - eg veins on the leaves, round pebbles to represent seeds in the centre of the sunflowers etc. Then I'd give some texture to the background with either pebbles or a close stipple. The border I would do a trailing vine with leaves and abstract flower shapes. But then I like a lot of FMQ - especially in wall hangings. Otherwise you could just outline the flowers then quilt concentric straght lines around the border, perpendicular to the stripes. :-D

That is stunning fabric and a great quilt. I would probably outline the flowers echo the rest, as was already said, and quilt leaves onto the border.

If you are not comfortable quilting it, maybe set it aside while you practice of something less spectacular.

Thanks for all of the wonderful comments and the great ideas for quilting.
k3n, I would love to do everything you suggested; I just don't know if I am capable. I see a lot of practice fmq in my future!
