    Wallly Wombat and Friends

I spent the weekend 'prepping' a new series of little quilts. These gorgeous patterns are by Patternpoole (Monica and Alaura Poole), Aussie designers. I am using all my Batik scrap fabrics to make these quilts. Wally Wombat is joined by Flick the Frill Neck Lizard, Cosmo Cockatoo, Cookie Kookaburra and Gi Gi Giraffe. They are all now ready to be machine appliqued, and then I will add a crazy block border using the smaller batik scraps to each one before quilting (these will be a long term project)

    Those are really great!
Do you then have to stitch around each piece to secure it?
    Love your choice of fabrics.

The patterns are from Patternpoole.com.au, Monica and Alaura Poole, Aussie designers, look them up on Google.
