    Default Wallly Wombat and Friends

I spent the weekend 'prepping' a new series of little quilts. These gorgeous patterns are by Patternpoole (Monica and Alaura Poole), Aussie designers. I am using all my Batik scrap fabrics to make these quilts. Wally Wombat is joined by Flick the Frill Neck Lizard, Cosmo Cockatoo, Cookie Kookaburra and Gi Gi Giraffe. They are all now ready to be machine appliqued, and then I will add a crazy block border using the smaller batik scraps to each one before quilting (these will be a long term project)

Haha, had to have a giggle when I saw a giraffe suddenly appear in amongst our native fauna!! They're lovely by the way!

They are adorable. Wonderful choice of fabric. Where did the patterns come from?
