Default Warm Wishes Quilt

I finally have this quilt finished with the help of you girls on this board. I have never had so much trouble with a quilt before.
First I forgot to wash the brown fabric and had to rip all of that fabric out. So many said to just quilt it heavy,I was a little worried about this as it was my first quilt that I was getting paid for. I made up a nine patch with left over blocks I put the brown fabric all around the dinosaur fabric, quilted it really heavy and then washed it in warm water and dried it on low heat,

Oh my goodness when I took it out of the dryer the dinosaur fabric looked like there was a ball under it,it puffed up that much. The brown fabric shrunk so bad, the fabric was country classic from JoAnn's and I have used this kind of fabric before but never had any trouble like this. I am just glad that I tried a sample quilt to wash and dry before I sent it on it's way.

I don't know if this happened because all of the other fabric except for the brown fabric had been washed and dried before using it. I have made quilts before with all unwashed fabric and never had a problem like this. I guess I will just make sure from now on that all the fabric in a quilts I make has been either washed or not,

So glad that it is done and I can give it to my friend, I also make a pillow case to go with the quilt. I think it can out ok I am just so happy to get this one done. Thanks again for all your help on this quilt, you girls and guys are great!

Thanks for looking.

It looks great now.

Did you - maybe - take a picture of the puffed up part using the unwashed fabric?

It is a great quilt!!! Just beautiful. You are wise to have experimented before making a final decision!
