Default Waverly Sheet Lap Quilt

I was at the local Goodwill store and found this queen size sheet for $2.00. Decided it was just what I wanted to make a lap quilt. I cut the largest roses for the main block and then cut up the smaller roses for the posts. Used a matching pink from my stash and the back has a large row down the vertical middle of the sheet. I had just had cataract surgery and my eyesight became much worst. The SID is rather bad but my DD loved it for her mother's day gift from me. I hope the pictures come through OK.

What a nice lap quilt that sheet made! I don't think I would have thought of that but it worked so well. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, Love the flower sprays. You are very creative to make it. As long as your Daughter loves it that is all that matters.

I had high pressure in my eye and the surgeon decided I should have my cataract removed to fix it. I went into the office the next day and the pressure was very high and stayed high for a month. He said I did not have glaucoma and after months of tests, no one knew what to do. I finally saw a different doctor and I do have glaucoma in just the one eye. There is nothing they can do now and even with glasses, my eyesight is rather bad. My good right eye has to carry me and it does affect my reading and my quilting. I am very grateful though to have vision, I think I am a weird case, not a normal situation. No doctor knows what happened to me.
