congratulations on the quit smoking. how long has it been for you now? i had smoked since i was 16 years old and in high school. it was fashionable back then. i'm 73 now so i had smoked for 55 years before quitting on June 8th of 2008, and i'm surprised i'm still alive. but it does get easier and i don't really miss them much now, so i am definitely spending my cigarette money on quilting 'stuff'. so good luck on your quilting, and stick with it.

thank you so much for all that positiv feedback.

Donna, I quit Dezember 27th. Its not such a long time, but I am doing ok. My husband quit four month ago and this gave me the effort to try it too. You gain just so much freedom without that terrible habit (and in my case also 10 pound  , Hubby even more. We will work on that one next as we are both rather slim)

Those are really beautiful-Can you post some close up pictures so we can see the blocks in more detail? You may have just convinced me to buy an embroidery machine

Sorry your birthday was disappointing...Congratulations on another year...and what an accomplishment....stopping smoking is so difficult. You must be a strong, determined person...AND so creative!
