Quote: . . . let your 5-year-old grandson play! I was working on a baby quilt one day when he was here. He loves to be involved. "Grandma, you have so much fabric that I love!" He knows he can get scraps out of my scrap drawers, so he pulled out one piece and said,"This is the giraffe's head." He then found strips that he wanted me to sew together for the neck and showed me just how I should sew the neck and head together. Next he cut a body and showed me how to attach that to the neck. And then he found two legs and I followed his instructions to attach them to the body. And then he needed a smiley mouth and eyes on both sides of the head. And, judge for yourself, doesn't this look like a giraffe?
sooo did he also name him??? that is just soooo dang adorable... I just love the imagination of children.. bless his little heart.. I agree.. he should make some other animals and you should applicate them onto a quilt for him...

That is darn cute! My grands would 'paste' scraps on my design wall too ... I had forgotten how much they enjoyed it.
