Need encouragement, I think....with my Trip around the World
#1
I am in the process of putting together this quilt. I am fairly new to quilting...this is just year 2 as a quilter...and this quilt is going to take longer to put together than I thought. I am going to like it, which I haven't always been sure about before because I seem to have trouble visualizing my final product.
This one I started off knowing I was going to like, but I am already tired of matching all the corners. I knew this quilt was taking me outside my comfort zone, but I know now I can do it...if I am patient. Patience has never been one of my virtues.
Any suggestions on how to be more patient?? Here is a picture of where I am so far. You can see where I am, I think.

you wouldn't be nearly as please with your accomplishment if you could slap it together in a day or two, hang in there and let love grow.
how's that? feel better yet? if not let me know and i'll try again! LOL
if you don't fall in love send it to me, i've never met a blue i didn't like

First of all it's beautiful!!!!!!
Secondly, you're doing a great job :D:D
Okay, having said that when I have a project like this one I have to slow myself down. Also it something gets tedious I leave it for awhile sometimes and so something else. Refresh myself, so to speak.
I can't wait to see it finished. You're on your way!!!

You might find it easier to match corners by glueing the intersections before sewing. That is what I would do. Take strips to ironing board, put a tiny dot of Elmer's washable school glue inside seam at intersection, then press with hot iron to make it stick. Eliminates the need for pins, and the seams are less likely to shift on you while sewing.
