One thing I would do is consider the rest of the holiday table setting. For example, if you are using a tablecloth with colors, or none at all. And, the dishes color and napkins. Visualize a white opaque binding and how any color looks against your table finish. That's all I can think of that's not been mentioned so far.

I really like your choice of colors and design - will be beautiful on the table with or without the food!

I like the dark outer color, it does not take away from the red center. I look forward to seeing it after it is done. It is very pretty.

I think red on the outside. I like the use of repeated colors and in this case I think the red binding would really make this pop.
