what color border for this quilt top

ok now that the quilt top is almost finished and it is a busy quilt I must say what border color should I use to bring it out or should it be a border to tone the quilt down any suggestions? thank you

My first thought was pink but green would also work; you could even do one of both. Your quilt is great so your border needs to be something that gives the eyes a place to rest and appreciate the work you've done.

How about a narrow solid(sh) inner 'complimentary' boarder ~ black, white, pink or green. Then if you have leftovers fabric of the top, how about piano keys as your outer boarder.

I'd use a narrow black border to contain all that color, then any of the smaller prints for the wider border. If black seems too much to you, then a really dark fuchsia or purple. If you like the size, you can just bind it in the fuchsia or purple.
