    This is what I ended up with. Not sure if I like the narrow border. (no scraps of red to use) I was aiming for lap size (57x70) and I ended up with 57x68. Wish it hadn't been a couple of inches short, but couldn't figure out how to add on to the length without messing up the width. The binding will be the same brown as in the lattice.



    Anyways...what do you think?

    Now to figure out how to quilt it.

    Decided not to try fmq on it and went with a safe diamond quilt pattern.

    It turned out beautifully. love it. I just made a quilt and had to trim the top and bottom border 1/2 half inch different from each other due to the backing fabric being short. no one notices. Great job!!!

    It does need that outer sashing - that and an additional small border would complete the quilt.
