I think this looks wonderful. What do you think?

The windows are 5 inch squares, the frames are 2 1/2 inches, the sashing in 2 inches , first border is 2 1/2 inches and the outside border is 3 1/2 inches (all measurement are cutting measurement).
    It measures 40 1/2 x 43 finished.

Love the idea. I've seen it before, but you did a fantastic job!

I could see it with a lighthouse panel, but I think I would adjust the size of the "windows" to fit the light house so you aren't cutting it up in weird places. The windows might even be long rectangles. Please post if you make it. I would love to see it. Just don't show it to your brother. He might decide he likes lighthouses again. :-)

Me too! I drafted the block in Quilt Pro for Mac so I could paper piece it. Also I am trying it with narrower window sills and sides.
