    i know you said you were looking for a twin size quilt - but what about a window valance? I did this w/ some orphan pieces that my great aunt made back in the 30s or 40s..

    wow! that looks so cute! I will definitely use that in the future--it's just I have this quilt in mind for a preteen DGS.

    This sample looks really good. It will give you space for some great quilting on the plain blocks. I love Americana quilts! It is on my list of to do. I madea small flag wall-hanging but not a whole quilt. The blocks you have are beautiful.

    Maybe this is a sign to send them to someone that would know what to do with them. I read a post yesterday where she was wanting to do a swap of rwb blocks for the veterans in her area. And the size is just what she was wanting I believe.
