This is a quicky quilt I made for a friends' teenage son. I told him that this was a band that I listened to over 30 years ago, he could not believe it. Teens today will not admit to liking old peoples music. lol

It is kinda funny, my kids will come in singing some "new" song and be really surprised that I already know the words to it!!!

I know, it irks teens that we know 'their' songs, doesn't it. This quilt was made from 2 cloth posters, (thin polyester) I won with an E-Bay bid, the center panel and the sm pics I backed with an iron on stabilizer. Easy.

I was out with dd one day and looking through her cds for something I could tolerate. She had an AC/DC one! I asked her about it and she said she liked them. I popped it in and the look on her face was priceless when she realized i knew the word to all those songs! She said "YOU listened to AC/ DC?" I still love them!

Cool quilt. I keep giving my kids a hard time about all the remakes of songs I listened too. I tell them they need to get their own music and stop remaking mine. Tee Hee

Thank you everyone, for your kind comments. Yes his Mom told me he went wild over his new quilt. And that it went with the skull and crossbones curtains I made for him last fall. Now he wants his Dad to paint his room black. I remember using black-light paint on my walls. And now teenagers ask for black-lights and the posters again. Remember those.

What a lot of memories this quilt brings back, lol!! I love ALL kinds of music and so do my children& grandchildren. I always have music playing and when I worked third shift, I played the radio while I slept to drown out noise. My DH said my feet would move to the music in my sleep!
Your friend's son will treasure this quilt!!
