I used to play backyard football with my older brother and his friends. I was the center and pass receiver--we had to cover several spots. One day I was kneed in the back of the head and boy oh boy the headache the next day was incredible. The school nurse sent me home and I was whisked off for x-rays. Not a skull fracture--just a concussion, but I had headaches for 6 months. And since the doc scolded my mother for allowing me to play football with the boys, that part of my life was over. :(

I did a cartwheel for my 5th graders the other day, but I grade papers when they're playing kickball.

Henry--being the pitcher sounds like a good idea. :D

That's nothing. You should have seen the bruise on my backside and I wasn't kicking any balls! Just slipped on the stairs. Got up rubbed myself down and within a few days I had a map of the world with all the shades and colours on my rear. Worse was to come which prevented me from quilting for a while, but that's another story. Hope your bruises heal quickly but perhaps you should give up kick ball and take up dribbling........ and mind how you come down the stairs!
