You did great on this trade! Beautiful quilt, but I grew up with border collies & would love to have another or a regular collie or toy collie. They are so loveable, but like someone else said, give them a job or they can be destructive. (Ask me how I know!) What did you name him/her?

Quilt is really pretty, but that's a great trade. Hard to find a Sadie under those terms; just look at DGD! Both girls are in heaven!

We take in rescue dogs and found an entire family of Border Collies on the road about 17 years ago. A mother, father & 5 puppies (2 puppies had been killed by passing cars). We found homes for all but a female puppy. We kept her and named her Patches, She was one of the best dogs we ever had. About 1 1/2 years ago we found out she had congestive heart failure. We did all we could until she had a stroke which paralyzed her hind quarters. We held her and talked to her as the vet gave her the injection and she closed her eyes for the last time. It broke our hearts but such wonderful memories. Although the quilt is beautiful, you will get so much pleasure from this dog. They have such a fabulous disposition.

Great trade. Love Border Collies and Australian Shepherds. Both have so much energy & are so intelligent. Enjoy!

Awe, that is a great trade. We just got a border collie as well about 2 months ago, they're great dogs. I love you're quilt too.

You got the best of the trade (not that your quilt isn't gorgeous), but I have a special fondness for border collies. We just lost our border collie cross that looks just like your Sadie!! He was 13 yo and best by far of any dog we ever had!! He carried mail for us, he was a water bottle and ball nazi, and every morning carried my husband's socks from the bedroom to the living room where my husband put them on. The morning after we lost Ranger my husband sat and cried, saying it was the first morning in 13 yrs he'd put on dry socks. Keep us posted with pictures of her growth and her antics!!

We have a border collie we "inherited" from a friend of my husband's who died from cancer. He is wonderful! So good with kids and adults. He plays with my mini-schnauzer like they are equals, gently!
