What has been keeping me busy instead of quilting....
#1
For over a year and a half, my husband and I have been praying for a relative of a dear friend that was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma--a type of cancer. She is 5 years old. Last fall she was in remission for several months but, unfortunately, it returned. She lives in Montana, was treated in Spokane and has just recently been accepted in a study at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York. So, she's a long ways from home now. Recently I felt called to knit something for her (I had made hats in the beginning) and here is the sweater I'll be sending off this week.

I know how you feel, sometimes I make quilts to give to people because it is my way of saying I'm thinking of you during a difficult time. I hope they are able to enjoy them, and know when they use them that someone is thinking of them, even the little ones!!!!
