Default What I finally made for Mothers Day (Nursing Home Gift)

Thanks to everyone who replied to my question re Mothers Day gift for Mom in nursing home. Here is what I finally made (two wreaths - one for inside her room side of door and one for outside of her door to hall).
She keeps her door open most of the time so will see the blue green one the most.
I found a tutorial on line for the blue/green one and it was supposed to be easy - ! The measurements given were wrong and that made it hard. Luckily, DH helped me correct the cutting mess, and it came out okay. The one inside her door is just a fabric wreath, but it is colorful and serves to cheer up the room. I do like the blue/green one, though, even though it drove me crazy. Thanks for looking.

These turned out beautiful....such a precious thing to do for your mom. I'm sure it will brighten her day and I hope serves as reminder of the wonderful daughter she has.

Thoughtful gift for your Mom. They both turned out nicely.

Both are great and a nice pop of color for her door. I love the scrappy one!

Very eye catching. Many residents should enjoy seeing those.

That's lovely that you made one for both inside, for Mom and outside for all to see and enjoy.

Very nice wreaths!

What a great idea! They add "personality" to your Mom's room and by extension people will be encouraged to talk to her about the door decorations.

Those are just beautiful for your mom. I use to put a wall hanging on my dad's door.
