Great ideas! I save all of my selvages with the fabric companies' names and color circles. Still have not made anything from them. I enjoy saving them though and know that one day, I will use them. :-DOriginally Posted by Chele
Thanks again to those that have sent me their selvages. I have so much fun with them! I'm tempted to cut off all the selvages from my stash.

I save the selvages with colour circles to match my colours. I used to teach a group where many of the women were having problems picking up the right shades. Maybe it is self-teaching but studying them carefully gives you confidence.

Chele those are awesome. Do you waht me to save mine for you?
How wide do you need them cut? and what is the necessary length, flat quarter long enough, and is it ok if they are already washed?

I would love if anyone wanted to send me their selvages. I'd gladly pay for postage, trade for fabric or make you something.
Washed or unwashed fabric is fine. I like to see a little of the fabric print, so I usually cut mine 1.25" to 1.5" wide. You don't have to measure or anything. And any length is usable.
They're very fun to play with if you want to give it a try.
